Thank you for visiting my website. I have a private psychoanalytic psychotherapy practice in Humboldt County, California, called Zwilling Project. I offer clinical and ecological expertise in treating individuals and groups who endure depression, anxiety, and grief-- I ensoul a depth and spiritual psychology position in my work. I'm currently a PhD Student at the California Institute of Integral Studies researching the efficacy of psychoanalytic and ecopsychological treatment for depression and suicidality in young adults.
I founded Dry Creek Range--facet of my private practice--a clinical program
where farming traditions meet the work of psychological healing. I believe animal
husbandry & agriculture can transform us--serve as rites of restoration—awakening drive, spirituality, ancestral memory, and soulful connection in those enduring depression, anxiety, grief, & trauma. Dry Creek offers groups, workshops, as well as individualized treatment. The program co-directed with local Botanist and Law Student, Victoria Yefremenkova. Periodically, we host Clinics with specialized lecturers (Veterinarians, Environmental Scientists, Equine Experts, Ranch Managers) on topics including Natural Horsemanship, Large Animal Vet Care, Identifying Rare Native Plant Species, among others. I was selected to train with the Palo Alto Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program (PAPPTP) Two-Year Program at the Stanford University Psychiatry Building. As part of this certificate program, I underwent over two years of weekly consultations with psychoanalysts, Drs. Schneider and Birkhofer, and Ann Martini, LCSW. I completed the Two-Year Certificate Program training as well as their PAPPTP- Fellowship Year.
I have additional training in Ecopsychology, Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Open Dialogue, suicide risk evaluation for children and adults, and the treatment of disordered eating.
Before opening my private practice, I worked as a Senior Therapist with the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) and for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals in their Emergency Department. I spent several years working in a crisis stabilization unit and psychiatric hospital in Santa Cruz while completing my hours for licensure. After I earned my master's in psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, I moved to Oahu to work as an art therapist for children with the Hawaii Department of Education.
Outside of my practice and ongoing analytic training I often surf, hike, ski, ride horses, make art, and spend time in nature and conversation with my family and friends. I played two NCAA Division I sports in college, grew up on a horse farm, and come from a lineage of healthcare providers, land conservationists, farmers, athletes, and artists.
ZWILLING is German for twin, in memory of my twin brother Patrick who suicided while living in Berlin, shortly after graduating from Stanford University, with Distinction. My practice is dedicated Patrick, my closest companion whom I miss dearly.
